Řecký ostrov Corfu - 54 km dlouhý a 28 km široký, je druhým největším řeckým ostrovem v Jónském moři. Daří se tam vegetaci a obklopují ho pláže s průzračným modrozeleným mořem.
My si bohužel vybrali pro svůj pobyt naprostý opak. Ale jen co se moře týče. Voda byla zkalená díky lidskému zásahu pro rozšiřování zálivu. Zarostlá mořskou trávou a tím se zvedaly i nánosy podloží - takže jako na rybníku. Škoda, prý ještě před 10 lety byla i tady křišťálová voda (pravili pamětníci). Naštěstí jsme si krásného moře užili jinde - loděmi na sever i na jih.
